Over 25 years in business and Lee Epply is still just as focused on growing his business as he was in year one.
Maintaining a thriving business doesn’t leave you with much spare time to plan new strategies, so several years ago Lee started looking into software that could help automate some of his daily tasks, eliminate double entry, and, overall, buy him some precious time.
He first landed on Salesforce, which is a great Customer Relationship Management tool, but he soon felt he needed additional functions to support the rest of his workflow.
“With that program we were trying to over-utilize the system beyond what it was actually designed for,” recalls Lee.
The mobile app allows workers to take care of things out in the field, they can time-in and time-out, hit complete, and boom! Everything is ready to be invoiced—it’s just so easy.
Lee gave Jobber a try and could tell it was a good fit—and a real time saver—from the start.
“I didn’t want a system that was so big that it would take a long time to learn. That’s what I really like about Jobber, it’s big enough but simple enough,” says Lee. “A lot of the things that Jobber is doing for us is stuff that we use to do manually.”
For example, Lee’s office used to spend hours preparing invoices, and now has that process down to minutes thanks to Jobber’s batch invoicing feature.
Lee’s also been able to delegate more work to his team out in the field.
“The mobile app allows workers to take care of things out in the field, they can time-in and time-out, hit complete, and boom! Everything is ready to be invoiced—it’s just so easy.”
Lee’s team is scheduling more appointments than ever, and entering more new customers into Jobber’s client manager. Goal achieved.
“Jobber has given us the ability to become a bigger company because our time is freed up,” reports Lee. “Now we can focus on growing the company, instead of spending so much of our time in the office.”
