We’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011. What started as the brainchild of two software developers and a painter has grown into an entire platform that’s helping thousands of people win in small business.
Jobber’s founders, Sam Pillar and Forrest Zeisler, initially just wanted to build software to help the owner of Painter’s Enterprise cut out paperwork and organize his business, but it wasn’t long before they realized their work could help so many other business owners in so many other industries. In the words of Forrest, “It wasn’t just about fixing the problems that one business experienced, it was about fixing the entire system in which home service businesses operated.”
Jobber hasn’t stopped growing since 2011, and now we operate in over 40 countries with over 70,000 active customers. We were named the 2nd fastest-growing software company in Canada in 2019.

One thing that’s stood out for me is that everyone at Jobber lives our values through actions and not just words. Even as the team has doubled in the last year or so, our culture has gotten stronger.
Although we’re behind computers we make sure we never forget about the people who use Jobber. We’re always collaborating with customer facing teams and learning from customers themselves.
Our team sets us apart. You can feel that the company is pulling in the same direction and that’s one of the things that makes Jobber special.
I focus on building experiences in the product that are simple, functional, and delightful. These design decisions that we make impact the way people in small businesses manage their operations.
My role goes beyond solving issues or answering questions. We’re building lasting relationships that speak to what Jobber as a whole continues to strive for: a sense of community.
We’re given a lot of autonomy on what to work on within our teams, which also means we’re empowered to contribute so much to the company’s success.
