Jobber’s Chief People Officer Named Top 25 HR Leader by Business Insider

Toronto, ON — March 18, 2022 Jobber, the leading provider of home service management software, announced that its Chief People Officer, Sara Cooper, was featured by INSIDER as a Top 25 Innovator in Human Resources (HR). Cooper and Jobber were selected for this year’s highly competitive list alongside technology industry giants, including Meta, Adobe, and Cisco.

This third annual list showcases human resources leaders who are bettering their companies amid the pandemic by successfully executing some of the most creative and ambitious plans in the industry. Cooper’s leadership in helping Jobber further elevate its commitment to employee wellness, performance, and career development, caught the attention of the judging committee.

“Sara has helped to take the important parts of our supportive culture — the stuff that’s much easier to model as a small company — and ensured that they live on as part of our DNA as we continue to scale,” said Sam Pillar, co-founder and CEO at Jobber. ”Above all, she’s a compassionate, empathetic, and well-rounded leader who we’re fortunate to have as a member and voice on Jobber’s executive team. Her impact at Jobber is appreciated by all and she is beyond deserving of this recognition.”

Since joining Jobber three and a half years ago Sara has spearheaded a number of programs and teams that the company benefits from today, including:

  • Building the coaching and development team, which includes the establishment of a career and professional development infrastructure
  • In-house career development coaching to support employees at every level
  • In-house training programs including a mandatory 5-week leadership training for all People Leaders
  • The Employee Experience team that creates opportunities for employees to connect with each other through virtual events and the “Wise & Well” program, which includes lunch & learns on topics such as nutrition, burnout, work-life balance, and meditation, as well as at-home fitness classes
  • The “career jungle gym” concept to highlight the diverse growth opportunities available for all employees

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Business Insider for something that you are truly passionate about,” said Cooper. “But while the spotlight falls onto leaders on this list, it’s very much a full team effort. Thanks to every member of Jobber’s People team for helping to drive innovation and for creating an environment that enables everyone to do their best work.”
